We follow a sustainable system — either organic, natural, or precision farming. Soil is healthier, costs reduce over time, and markets value our produce. We are confident this method secures our future.

We use chemicals, but in a balanced way. Inputs are measured, and we also try some sustainable practices. Yields are good, and we avoid excess harm to soil or water.

We mostly follow conventional chemical farming. It gives results, but costs are rising and soil quality is slowly declining. We have not yet tried much sustainability work.

We depend heavily on chemicals. Without them, crops don’t survive. Costs are very high, and sometimes soil and water health look damaged, but we have no option right now.

I rely mainly on chemical sprays. If I see pests spreading, I ask the dealer for a pesticide and use it. Sometimes it works, sometimes pests come back stronger.

Usually I act late. By the time I spray, the crop has already suffered. Sometimes I spray whatever is available, without checking if it is right for that pest.

I don’t really do much for pest and disease management. If the crop survives, good; if not, it’s my loss. I find sprays too costly or confusing.

I have advanced systems like polyhouses, hydroponics, or climate-controlled chambers. I manage them properly and link with reliable markets to sell high-quality, year-round produce.

I use partial systems like shade nets or low-cost structures. They give some protection from weather and pests, and I can already see good results.

I tried controlled cultivation on a small scale, but results are mixed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t — maybe because of lack of training, proper inputs, or market support.

I don’t have controlled cultivation, but I have thought about it. The investment looks high and risky, so I keep postponing the decision.

I only do open-field farming. I don’t believe in these new systems. Whatever the weather does, I accept it — good or bad.

I use advanced machines (like combine harvesters, fruit pickers, or threshers) and also have access to grading, drying, or cold storage. My produce reaches the market in top condition, sometimes even for premium buyers.

I use good harvesting tools and sometimes manage to grade or clean my produce. I may not always have cold storage, but I avoid big losses and usually get fair prices.

I harvest mostly with basic tools like sickles and family labour. Some part of the produce is handled carefully, but much of it is sold quickly without grading or proper drying.

Harvesting is mostly manual and often delayed. I don’t have proper storage or drying, so sometimes produce spoils, or I have to sell in distress at low prices.

I just harvest the traditional way and sell immediately, whatever the condition. I don’t have access to storage or grading, and I usually take whatever price the buyer gives.

I actively use digital tools — crop apps, weather alerts, mandi price updates, even sensors or drones when possible. I keep farm data and take decisions based on it.

I regularly use mobile apps and WhatsApp groups for weather, mandi rates, or pest alerts. I don’t have sensors or drones yet, but I make decisions using digital advice.

I sometimes check mandi prices or weather on mobile, but most of my decisions are still traditional. I use digital help only when easily available.

I rarely use digital tools. If needed, I depend on neighbours, traders, or shopkeepers for advice. I don’t follow apps or online platforms.

I have no exposure to digital farming tools. I neither use a smartphone for farming nor take any help from online services.
