Where are:
Power failure?
Frozen food left outside?
A leaking pack?
Rat droppings suddenly found?
Wrong product put away?
Returned food with unknown history?
Chemical spill?
Cold-room breakdown?
Food dropped on the floor?
Vehicle delayed for six hours?
They matter enormously.
But we are deliberately not expanding them here.
Because a conventional checklist answers:
“What should be in place?”
These situations ask a completely different question:
“WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG, WHAT DO I ACTUALLY DO?”
That deserves its own treatment.
And that is why it becomes our separate:
LAYER 1 — SECOND NATURE
WHAT CAN / USUALLY GO WRONG?
There we will not primarily teach regulations.
We will take ordinary situations from Receiving, Storage, Picking, Packing, Dispatch, Transport, Returns and Disposal and repeatedly practise:
Something happened → I noticed it → I understood what it could do to food → I knew what to do → I did it without waiting to be told.
Until correct Food Handling becomes Second Nature.
