Open Letter to Consultants & Advisory Gurus

Title: Stop Preaching Strategy When We’re Still Finding Customers

Dear Consultants & Advisory Gurus,

When you enter my office with your McKinsey aura and polished PPTs, I feel like a farmer being handed a rocket-science manual—beautiful, useless, and intimidating.

Your “best practices” are great for companies with balance sheets, customer data, and predictable demand. But mera haal alag hai, boss. I’m still discovering if anyone wants my millet-based protein bar, or if they’d rather eat pani-puri and move on.

Example? A consultant once told me, “Optimize your supply chain.” Arrey bhai, pehle customer toh confirm karne do! I don’t even know if my bar will be sold in a gym, a school, or a kirana shop.

We need mentors who can sit with us in the mud, not advisors who bill ₹50,000 per slide. Teach us how to search, not how to polish numbers that don’t even exist yet.

🎬 Filmy Mic Drop: “Guru woh nahi jo sirf meditation hall mein sikhaye. Guru woh hai jo battlefield mein saath baithkar talwar chalana sikhaye.”

Sincerely,

A Student Startup Founder
