Land Survey, Demarcation & Legal Services

1.Certified Land Surveyor (Amin): A professional who uses modern or traditional tools (like a theodolite) to accurately measure and demarcate the land boundaries, which is the very first step.

Caution Note: Be cautious of surveyors who offer a very low per-acre rate, as they may rush the job and provide inaccurate measurements. Always ask for their certification and past work references. Get a second opinion and never trust a surveyor who rushes you. An inch difference in a long boundary can cost you acres.

2. Stone Marker Supplier: Vendors who supply pre-cast concrete or granite pillars for permanent boundary marking.

Caution Note: Suppliers may try to sell you low-quality, hollow pillars made with poor cement and sand, which will crumble over time. Insist on a small sample piece before placing a bulk order and check for solid, dense construction.

3. Local Lawyer/Notary: A legal professional to assist with verifying land deeds, getting permissions, and handling any legal disputes that may arise during the demarcation process.

Caution Note: Local lawyers often have a cozy relationship with the Tehsil or other government offices. They might overcharge you for simple tasks by claiming "hidden fees" or "expediting charges." Always get a transparent fee structure upfront and question every extra cost they add.

4. Labor for Marking: Small teams of laborers to physically place markers, stretch strings, and mark lines with lime powder as per the surveyor's instructions.

Caution Note: These laborers may deliberately misplace markers or stretch the lines incorrectly to create boundary disputes, which then requires you to pay for a second round of surveying and legal fees. Be present during the entire process and double-check their work.
