Water & Irrigation Infrastructure

18. Borewell/Tubewell Drilling Vendor: The company that provides the drilling rig and expertise to bore a deep well for a reliable water source.

Caution Note: This is one of the most significant risks. The vendor may claim to have drilled to a greater depth than they actually have, overcharging you for the extra feet. Be present during the entire process, measure the length of the pipes going into the ground, and get a video recording of the drilling

19. Pump & Motor Supplier: A vendor who sells and services submersible pumps, motors, and control panels.

Caution Note: They may sell you a lower-capacity pump or a cheaper brand than what is required for your borewell's depth, causing it to fail prematurely. Always consult with a borewell expert before purchasing

20 Pipe & Fitting Supplier: Vendors who sell a variety of pipes (PVC, HDPE), taps, valves, and joints for the water distribution system.

Caution Note: They may try to sell you low-quality, non-ISI standard pipes. These pipes are prone to bursting under pressure and will require costly repairs. Insist on checking the ISI mark on every single pipe and fitting.

21. Overhead Tank Vendor: A vendor who supplies plastic or concrete water storage tanks.

Caution Note: They may sell you a tank that is not food-grade or is made of low-quality plastic that will warp in the sun. Ensure you buy from a reputable brand and verify the quality and warranty.

22 Irrigation Specialist: A service provider who designs and installs comprehensive drip or sprinkler irrigation systems tailored to the farm layout.

Caution Note: An unscrupulous installer might use fewer drip emitters or sprinklers than required to save costs, which will lead to improper watering and poor crop growth. Insist on a detailed plan that shows the placement of every single part and check their work during the installation process.
