“Navigating the Government Connect: Unlock Grants, Subsidies, Policy Alignment & Zero-Cost Growth Opportunities”

Budget 2025-26:

MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE; DEMAND NO. 4; Ministry of Ayush …

6. Champion Services Sector Scheme: To provide Medical Tourism in AYUSH Sector through establishment of AYUSH Health care Super Specialty Day care Hospital and skill development and establishment of AYUSH Grid

Fantastic, Mukesh! This one — the Champion Services Sector Scheme with a focus on AYUSH Medical Tourism and Infrastructure — is pure startup gold. It's not just about healthcare anymore; it’s about positioning India as a global destination for preventive and integrative wellness — and startups that can bridge healthcare, hospitality, digital platforms, and global branding are in a pole position.

Let’s build this sixth entry in the Navigating the Government Connect format:

🟢 Navigating the Government Connect

🔹 Budget 2025–26 | Ministry of Ayush

→ Targeted infrastructure for inbound patients and wellness seekers

• AYUSH Grid

→ Nationwide digital infrastructure for AYUSH services, records, standards, and interoperability

Objective: Make AYUSH a globally credible wellness service, create a seamless experience for international wellness tourists, and empower startups to build services across healthcare + tourism + tech + skilling.

2️⃣ Analytical Insights

1. India is a sleeping giant in medical tourism: Only 3–5% of global wellness tourists come to India, despite its cost advantages, rich heritage, and globally rising interest in Ayurveda and Yoga.

2. No seamless journey: From visa to post-treatment follow-up, AYUSH wellness seekers face broken pathways — startups can build the glue.

3. AYUSH Grid = Open Infra Moment: Just like UPI disrupted payments, the AYUSH Grid has the potential to allow EHR, booking, virtual consults, and personalized AYUSH care plans to be built on top.

5️⃣ FOMO Triggers: What Startups Miss if They Don’t Act

❌ Lost Global Market Entry: Southeast Asia and UAE are investing heavily in Ayurveda hubs. If Indian startups don’t build the ecosystem, others will take the cake — using our knowledge.

❌ AYUSH Grid = India’s Wellness Stack: Just like UPI gave rise to PhonePe and CRED, this Grid will give birth to a new generation of health+wellness tech unicorns. Early movers get the data, brand, and loyalty.

❌ Wellness without Infrastructure is just talk: Government is funding hospital infra — if startups don’t enter with booking tech, concierge services, or diagnostic support, the whole funnel stays broken.

❌ Skilling = Workforce = Scale: If startups don’t build the training + job placement bridge, India’s wellness workforce remains underpowered and unstandardized.
