2. Startup Opportunities

A. Farmer ID Ecosystem

• Problem: Low linkage of Farmer IDs to credit/insurance (only 1 service reported).

• Solution: Build API-driven platforms to integrate:

o Bank loans (e.g., pre-approved Kisan Credit Cards).

o Insurance under PM Fasal Bima Yojana (automated claims via satellite data).

o Startup Example: AgriStack-as-a-Service for states/NBFCs.

B. Digital Crop Survey Tools

• Problem: Only 8 states use digital surveys; manual "Girdawari" still dominates.

• Solution:

o AI-powered image analytics (drones/satellite) for real-time crop area estimation.

o Blockchain for tamper-proof land/crop records.

o Startup Example: GeoAI for Girdawari – SaaS for state agriculture departments.

C. Dynamic Land-Crop Registry

• Problem: Disconnect between Farmer ID, land, and crop data.

• Solution:

o IoT soil sensors + farmer app to auto-update crop sown data.

o Incentivize farmers via subsidy alerts (e.g., DBT for seed purchases).
